KCOY INTERVIEW...HOW WILL YOU HELP CALIFORNIA AS A REPRESENTATIVE IN CONGRESS?

Let's put the representation of our district back in the hands of someone who truly represents the concerns of our district.

Here is an except from my KCOY TV interview. Click on the link below for the full interview.

“I am a small businessman and I am in touch on a daily basis with the people of this District who are having a hard time making their house payments, are one step away from foreclosure, or are trying to figure out how to do a short sale. The economy is in a difficult position right now. The top job of Congress must be to jumpstart our economy and create jobs. Unfortunately, with our representative, the only job he seems to care about is his own."

TIM ALLISON DECLARES OFFICIAL CANDIDACY FOR CONGRESS

Tim Allison Declares His Official Candidacy for Congress in Congressional District 24

Thousand Oaks, CA, March 1, 2010 – Tim Allison declared his official candidacy for Congress in Congressional District 24. “Elton Gallegly has been in office for 23 years, and it is 23 years too many,” Allison stated. “Enough is enough. The residents of Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties deserve accessible, energetic, and responsive representation and I am the best candidate to do this,” stated Allison, over the weekend, to a Camarillo crowd of more than 80 people. Allison has filed as a candidate and will return his nominating papers to the county elections office later this week.

Allison went on to state his proven track record for getting the job done and is confident in his bid for Congress. “Gallegly has had 23 years to help this district, but he has proven himself to be nothing more than a rubber stamp representative,” said Allison. The campaign’s Field Director, Deborah Dent of Simi Valley noted, "I believe Tim's ongoing involvement in community issues, as well as his professional background as a real estate broker and small business owner give him a unique perspective on the problems facing the constituents of the 24th. Tim works daily with people in our district solving their housing and mortgage issues. More than any other candidate in this race, Tim understands the challenges this economy has placed on our friends, families and communities. I am proud to be heading up the campaign Field Operations and working with a dynamic campaign team to ensure that the most qualified candidate is elected.”

Brian Leshon, chair of Ventura County Democratic Party offered these words, “Elton Gallegly is a career politician and one of the most ineffective members of Congress in the country. This is the year that the voters in Ventura and Santa Barbara County’s will send the message that incompetent officials shouldn’t automatically be reelected.”

In closing Allison said, “I will work hard to jumpstart our economy while rebuilding our education and transportation infrastructure, improve our schools and create jobs, especially in alternative energy, high tech businesses such as medical instruments and medical technology and in green businesses. We deserve a representative in Washington who will work hard everyday for their constituents. We have serious problems in this country and the public is tired of elected officials who are part of the problem and not part of the solution.”

TIM ALLISON SIGNS THE FAIR CAMPAIGN PRACTICES PLEDGE

Allison Signs Fair Campaign Practice Pledge and Ask Candidates to Join Him

VENTURA, CA, February 18, 2010 – Tim Allison, candidate for the House of Representatives in California Congressional District 24 has signed the ‘Fair Campaign Practices Pledge’ and has called upon his fellow Democratic candidates to step up and do the same. “I am running for Congress in a time where our government, our Congress, and our institution of governance is being severely tested. If the people in California District 24 are to believe and trust that their representatives will take their personal vision to Washington seriously, I must work to earn their trust. Today I signed the Fair Campaign Practices Pledge, a pledge that holds me, and my campaign to a high standard of ethics and a code of trust. I enlist my fellow Democratic candidates to do the same. It is the very least we can do for our constituents and to gain the public’s trust “stated Allison.

The Fair Campaign Practices Pledge, a Democratic Party pledge, invokes a candidate’s responsibility to provide voters with truthful, fair and clean campaigns, and to conduct themselves in a manner conducive to a civil, issue-oriented exchange with their fellow candidate.

With this pledge, a candidate signs their name to conduct their campaign openly, fairly and truthfully. They will not engage in unfair or misleading attacks upon the character or value of their democratic opponents, and they pledge to not distribute negative messages about their Democratic opponent. They will not permit the use of any opposition research, campaign material or advertisement that misrepresents, distorts, or otherwise falsifies the facts regarding their Democratic opponent.

In signing this pledge, Tim Allison agrees to ensure that his campaign materials and advertisements clearly identify the materials, and his campaign will promptly and publicly condemn the actions and statements of any individual or group whose activities violate this Pledge.

Tim Allison signed this pledge on February 17, 2010, and asks his Democratic opponents to step up and do the same.
